This model comes with a 1.6 Diesel Engine which is coupled with a 6 speed gearbox to provide a smooth and enjoyable drive. The first diesel MINI deemed sporty enough to bear the Cooper name, this is a stunning car!

New features on the New Car: To lower emissions and reduce fuel consumption the car is fitted with Stop/Start technology - when you are waiting at traffic lights, for example, if you wish you can stop the engine by moving the gear lever into neutral and releasing the clutch - when it's time to go: the car starts instantly when you press the clutch pedal down!

To help you with Eco-Safe driving a gear change indicator near the speedometer advises you when to change gear to allow the engine to perform in the most fuel efficient way.

Finally, "Hill Assist" will help you with hill starts - when stopping on an incline for only a few seconds - emerging at a junction, for example, holding the car on the footbrake rather than the clutch is kinder to your car (handbrake is best for anything other than a very short stop!) but most people will roll back a little as they release the brake and search for the biting point of the clutch. With "Hill Assist" the car is held still for a second or so with no brakes on, allowing you to find the bite and move away effortlessly with no roll back!

For your comfort: Air Conditioning comes as standard - you will feel cool in the Summer and in the Winter the car is pleasantly free from condensation. The seats are height adjustable (tallest driver so far has been 6' 8"!) and the steering wheel adjusts for reach and height. There is also a foot rest for your clutch foot and heated electric door mirror adjustment. This is a Non-Smoking Car

For your safety:  The car has been awarded the prestigious 5 STAR Euro NCAP rating for occupant safety in the event of a crash, this is due to the latest technology in the design of the body work and an incredible array of airbags. The car is equipped with Anti-Lock Disc brakes all round which are extremely effective, Power Assisted Steering which becomes lighter at slow speeds ideal for the test manoeuvres and of course the car is fitted with Dual-Controls as well.

For your ease of driving: The car is so easy to manoeuvre due to its size and all round visibility, so when you are reversing, parking or turning the car in the road you will be able to position it correctly and complete the L test manoeuvres with a breeze! The digital speedometer positioned in the rev counter behind the steering wheel makes keeping within the speed limits a doddle and the diesel engine and the lightly weighted clutch pedal make it very difficult to stall. 

For the environment: The Cooper Diesel has very low Carbon Dioxide emissions - 109g/km and very low fuel consumption - 64 miles per gallon is the official figure. The car is eco-friendly enough for it to be exempt from the London Congestion Charge and with Road tax at £20 per year, you will feel like treating yourself to one after you have passed your test!
