Pass Plus is a training scheme for new drivers, its aim is to improve your driving skills and make you a safer driver. Many insurance companies offer discounts to drivers who have successfully completed the course, some of my pupils have saved hundreds of pounds!

Why should I do it?

Many people believe that they do not need to complete Pass Plus as they think they will "pick things up as they go along" and believe the myth that "you only start to learn to drive after passing your test". Considering that many learners drivers will only have driven a driving school car for 40-50 hours, many exclusively in daylight and good weather, this is a risky strategy for the most dangerous activity you will do in your normal daily life.

Many people pay for music lessons, for example, would you say to your piano teacher - "just teach me the white keys, I'm sure I'll work out the black keys for myself"? Highly unlikely, so ensure that you give yourself the best start to your driving career by getting expert tuition on the topics you may not have covered in detail in your driving lessons by taking Pass Plus with Learn in a MINI

The course consists of a minimum of 6 hours training and the emphasis is on developing your practical driving skills in the following areas.

  • Urban Driving
  • Country Roads
  • All Weather Driving
  • Night Driving
  • Dual Carriageways
  • Motorway Driving - Including the new SMART Motorways

There is no test at the end, instead, you will be assessed throughout the course.

Pass Plus can be taken as 3 x 2hr Modules or 2 x 3hr Modules and costs £240 (or £220 if taken in your own car)

As the area I cover for Learner training is extensive, I ensure that the roads you will cover on Pass Plus will be unfamiliar to you thus maximising the benefit you will obtain from the course.
